1. Daily cleaning. 

Daily cleaning is the basic work for maintaining edge banding. Gently wipe the surface of the edge banding with a clean and soft damp cloth, which can effectively remove dust and stains. When wiping, follow the texture direction of the edge banding strip to avoid repeated back-and-forth friction and prevent damage to the protective film on the surface of the edge banding strip. One point to note is that even when dealing with stubborn stains, do not use rough cleaning tools such as steel wool balls. You can try using a mild detergent, such as diluted neutral dishwashing liquid, spray it on the stained area, let it stand for a moment, then gently wipe it with a damp cloth. 2. Avoid damage.

Therefore, maintaining an appropriate indoor temperature is very important. Generally, the indoor humidity is best controlled at 40% to 60%. During the humid season, a dehumidifier can be used to reduce indoor humidity, or desiccants can be placed around furniture to absorb moisture from the air. In dry seasons, a humidifier can be used to increase air humidity, or water basins can be placed indoors, etc. When maintaining good ventilation at the same time, pay attention to the intensity and duration of the wind force to prevent the edge banding from cracking due to rapid water loss.

4. Regular inspection and maintenance. 

Regular inspection of edge banding strips is the key to timely identification and resolution of problems. If slight cracks or lifting of the edge banding are found during the inspection, professional glue can be used for repair. First, clean the cracked or lifted parts thoroughly to ensure there is no dust or stains. Then, apply an appropriate amount of glue evenly in the gaps. Use a tool to press the edge banding flat to make it closely adhere to the surface of the furniture. Wait for the glue to dry completely.
