The general grades of Baltic birch plywood are given as follows:

1.   B/BB:

It consists of one piece of a sheet on the front and back surface. The front surface is clearer with a lighter tone of color, while the back contains some patches and stains. The inner of the sheet is consists of solid plies.

2.   BB/BB:

Both the front and back are of the single-piece veneer. It allows an average of 3-6 colored patches and hues of mineral stripes possibly made on both front and back surfaces. Some tight pin circles may be present on both veneers. The inner core is consisting of a solid one piece of veneer.

3.   BB/CP:

A single piece of veneer on front and back. The front BB veneer is over the CP grade veneer. The CP back veneer is demoted as it allows infinite fixes and knots. But, open imperfections are not allowed. The inner core surface is filled with one piece of veneer.

4.   CP/CP:

As the CP grade veneer is not restricted. The front and back are single pieces and allow unlimited and infinite sound knots, repairs, patches, and splits. Both front and back are clear and are created for lamination.

5.   C/C:

It allows the open knots, small patches, splits, and repairs. The small voids are allowed. The panel is basically doesn’t contain sand content; therefore, it can be constructing purposes.
