F17 formply black shuttering plywood, also known as formwork or hard face, is structural plywood coated with a film veneer on both sides, making it durable and resistant to abrasion and alkalinity from concrete. It is ideal for repetitive use in wet environments such as concrete formwork for floors, walls, frames, bridges, and other structures. F17 formply black shuttering plywood is easily sawn and shaped with everyday tools, stable, lightweight, and easy to install, enabling large areas to be laid without swelling or expansion.

It is produced from certified timber veneers glued with resin and overlaid with resin-impregnated paper, giving concrete a smooth finish. Complying with Australian Standard AS6669, F17 formply black shuttering plywood is constructed from mixed-species veneers with a hardwood face and phenolic overlay. It is highly durable and suitable for most formwork applications, including walls, suspended decks, columns, and precast structures.
