PVC edge banding strips are glued

PVC edge banding can be processed with any standard hot melt adhesive (such as EVA, PA, PUR). The dimensional stability of PVC edge banding is an important advantage of it. This material will not start to soften until after 80°C. The application temperature varies between 90°C and 220°C depending on the type of adhesive.

The gluing of the Pedicco PVC edge banding strip has good bonding performance, aging resistance and flexibility. Waterproof, heat-resistant and environmentally friendly.

The temperature selection for the best result

To achieve the best results when applying PVC edge banding, the sheet and the edge banding must be operated at room temperature. The ambient temperature must be above 18°C. The material must be heated overnight before use. If the temperature of the board or edge banding is too low, the hot melt adhesive will harden before the edge banding is fixed in place. For other processes, the optimal moisture content of the sheet should be between 7% and 10%. Since PVC is prone to fading after scraping, the thickness of plastic waste should not exceed 0.1-0.2 millimeters. To avoid leaving vibration marks, genuine diamond-coated milling tools must be used.
